Maxwell v. State of Montana

A $2.7 million dollar settlement was obtained from the State of Montana on behalf of a family who had adopted an autistic child.  The child was the biological child of a resident of the Warm Springs Mental Hospital who had been repeatedly raped by her caregiver while under the care of the State of Montana.
